What is this Blog?

Welcome to the blog of the Hunters of Thunder, the place to come for the updates and live information from the chases of
John Allen & Brad Hannon in both Australia and the United States.

If you are wondering why we are the "Hunters of Thunder" then you probably need to read the following:
When chasing through the plains during the 2007 season an old American Indian came up to Brad and asked him what he was doing. Brad replied that he was a storm chaser. The old American Indian paused for a moment, to process and understand, and then said "Oh you are Hunters of Thunder!"

And thats just us, if there is a chaseable thunderstorm within driving distance chances are we will be found near or under it taking photos and video. And hopefully you will enjoy sharing all the amazing sights the convective atmosphere has to offer. Currently, we are about to head off chasing the Great Plains, so grab a cuppa and settle in to read and watch our daily updates from May 25th - and event based reports from the US and Australian chase seasons.
